New Expansion: Fate’s Voyage: Onward
“It is thrilling to face the beasts of old!”
The winds of fate rustle the Tidedancer’s sails, but not all tidings bode well. In addition to Volibear, Nilah and Janna being released, we are bringing the brand new Eclipse Knights cosmetic line. Follow the Knight’s hunt of the elusive Coven. Log in to play Fate’s Voyage: Onward, playable on September 13 at approximately 11:00AM PT.

New Mechanics
Elemental
Many spells and play effects will receive the “Elemental” type, increasing interactivity with cards being added in the Fate’s Voyage Expansion!

Shuffle a card into your deck and reduce its cost by 1.

Units with 8+ Attack or Health
Editor’s Note: If a unit is buffed up to 8 or more Attack or Health it will then be considered Titanic.

Nilah
- Star Power 1: The first Fleeting card you play each round is copied.
- Star Power 2: +1 Starting Mana. Create a copy of the first 2 cards you discard each round in your deck, then draw 1 Fleeting at Next Round Start for each.
- Star Power 3: Each round, copy the first 2 Fleeting units or spells you play.
Janna
- Star Power 1: When you play a cost reduced card, reduce the cost of the top card of your deck by 1.
- Star Power 2: When you play a cost reduced card, grant the weakest ally +1|+1.
- Star Power 3: When you play a cost reduced card, reduce the cost of the top card of your deck by 2.
Volibear
- Star Power 1: When you slay a unit, summon a Sigil of the Storm.
- Star Power 2: +1 Starting Mana. When you summon a titanic unit, it strikes the weakest enemy.
- Star Power 3: When you slay a unit, summon 2 Sigils of the Storm.

Eclipse Knights Event
Purchase before September 27th to get an exclusive quest that awards 20 Eclipse Sigils and a Rare Prismatic Chest. The event pass grants access to an upgraded event path with premium rewards and immediately unlocks Eclipse Knight Leona. All unlockable rewards can be viewed on the Event rewards road.

Runeterra Opens
Once again we will have three Runeterra Opens, but this season we have the special Last Chance Qualifier! It’ll run like a normal Open but won’t feature any cash prizes. However, a spot in Worlds is up for grabs!

Gauntlets have been adjusted so that runs with zero wins will no longer reward any Trophies. Along with this adjustment, players will be able to enter into a gauntlet an unlimited number of times.
Miscellaneous
Emporium
- Further tuning on individualized offers in the Emporium
- August 29th Hotfix Notes:
- Green shard offers are taking a short hiatus from the Emporium’s offerings while we investigate.
- A new Stardust offer was added so players always have access to purchasing the item needed to upgrade a Champions relic slot to Epic!
- This relic has been renamed from ‘Epic Quest (Consumable)’ to ‘Spirit Forge (Consumable)’.
- We’ve sped up the refresh rate on the Coin Offers in the Emporium. There should be a new offer Daily, and another slot which resets every other day.
- We’ve granted all players 500 Stardust! Make sure to tell your friends to log in before November 8th to receive your Stardust.
Emote Panel Expansion
- The true end-game has arrived. We’ve expanded the Emote Panel so you have UNLIMITED POWER. Equip as many Emotes as you’d like so you’re ready for all situations.
End of Game Skip Button
Blink and you’ll miss it!
- In the lower right corner after finishing a match, you can now click the “Skip” button to fast forward through all of the exp gains and quest completions to get right back into the fray.
Stardust
- As mentioned in our Emporium Live Stream, we’re planning to implement an additional Stardust reward for beating Aurelion Sol. All players who’ve already bested Aurelion Sol already will receive this reward. It’s still in the works and won’t make it for this patch, but it will be released in an upcoming patch. Keep your eyes on the patch notes to find out when!
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with the Elf Tristana champ skin in the Emporium where the purchase of the skin only showed a generic champion card asset and a gray box.
- Fixed a number of issues in the Emporium to ensure refunds work as expected.
- Fixed an issue where offers in the Emporium could not be purchased twice on the same slot.
- Several text descriptions of game mechanics have been adjusted to improve clarity.
- Fixed several issues to reduce unexpected errors and improve game stability.
- Fixed several issues that prevented Skins from being applied when a Champion is copied.
- Fixed several issues revolving around Valley of Imitation’s mechanics.
- Fixed an issue causing Eclipse Dragon’s cost reduction to be displayed incorrectly on Celestial units during Aurelion Sol’s Invoke.
- Rhasa the Sunderer’s Night Harvest will no longer go through SpellShields to kill units.
- Fixed an issue allowing Swindle to manifest Death from Below.
- Fixed an issue preventing Crimson Banquet Hall from properly damaging units.
- Fixed an issue with Ambush units having their Ambush spell obliterated when played onto a full board with Husks.
- Conservator’s Judgement can no longer target or kill enemy Champions.
- Boomship will no longer add stacks to the opponent’s Powder Keg.
- Fixed several issues causing Ambush effects to inadvertently trigger.
- Fixed an issue where the cost reduction for Samira’s Collect Your Bounty does not last to the next round in The Path of Champions.
- Fixed an issue that caused Evelynn’s Star Power, Peak of Ecstasy, to apply more buffs than intended in The Path of Champions.
- Obliterated cards will no longer remain on screen when overdrawing with Entrancing Lure and Tempest Blade on Yasuo in The Path of Champions.
