ARAM will soon be in testing! Adnan “Sheiky” Mirza reports live from the Freljord with a quick look at Wild Rift’s game modes.

Hi everyone! My name is Adnan “Sheiky” Mirza, and I’m the producer for Maps and Modes on Wild Rift. As Wild Rift starts to come fully online across the world, the Maps and Modes team will be creating new ways for players to play in the months to come. I want to share what we’re hoping to create, what you can expect from our team, and more about our first game mode—All Random All Mid.

We know many of you are enjoying the core 5v5 gameplay on Wild Rift, and we want to build on that. By creating fun and rewarding experiences that expand on this foundation, the Maps and Modes team will provide new ways to enjoy Wild Rift gameplay, while still allowing you to express your skill and mastery of the game. We’re planning on experimenting by bringing a combination of known and loved modes to the game, as well as some brand new ones that really shine on our new platforms. All in all, we’re hoping to throw a lot of these experiments your way over the coming months to keep your Wild Rift experience fresh and exciting.

It’s safe to say that some things you’ve seen on the PC version of League of Legends will make their way to Wild Rift, but not always in the same form. We’ll be making changes to ensure that new modes feel great on mobile, and we want to put these changes in front of you sooner rather than later. Instead of making it perfect, we want you to tell us what works, what you enjoy, and what’s worth your time. And that’s what we’ll keep building. This means that some modes might be one and done, while others could show up more often. It’s all up to you. We’re really excited to hear your feedback and thoughts, especially on what’s coming up next: All Random All Mid.

That’s right—ARAM is coming to Wild Rift! Now you can truly live the dream and run it down mid with your friends in a classic League of Legends experience on our new Howling Abyss map. We tried really hard to make ARAM authentic to League while making some tweaks that felt good for Wild Rift.

Now, in keeping with what I’ve said before, this initial run is a trial so we can hear your feedback on the mode. Starting April 5th, there will be a small 3-day test of the game mode to make sure everything works as intended. And if it does, ARAM will be available to play for over a month, running from April 15th to May 19th. While we are very excited for players to get their hands on ARAM at this stage in development, not all of the features are fully supported. Runes, items, loadouts, and a few other areas have not been finalized yet for Wild Rift. We’re also going to expand the free-to-play roster for this test so we can get as much balance data as we can.

That being said, the core ARAM experience, with re-rolls, Mark/Dash, and more is here for your enjoyment. We want to build the best version of ARAM we can, so your feedback is very important to us. Depending on how things turn out, you might see ARAM come back again for a temporary run, or you might see more changes for the mode. And of course, we’ll keep you posted with what our plans are in the future.

For now though, that’s all I have. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and we’ll see you soon on the Howling Abyss!
