Wild Rift Season 2 Ends July 26

We’re extending the current ranked season by a couple of days to ensure a smaller amount of downtime between Season 2 and Season 3, as we know many of you are raring to climb the ladders as soon as they’re available! We compiled answers for a few questions you might have below.

When does Wild Rift’s Season 2 end?

Wild Rift’s second ranked season will end on July 26 at 12:00pm PDT.

When does Wild Rift’s Season 3 begin?

Season 3 will begin a few hours after Season 2 ends on July 26 at 15:00 PDT, but we’re anticipating a couple of display issues for the first 24 hours of Season 3.

What are the ranked display issues? Why are they happening?

When we release major Wild Rift patches, we have to update our backend systems before the patch is available to players. Because this new season will begin shortly before the full release of Patch 2.4, there’s a chance that players will become “desynced” when it comes to some systems in ranked like Fortitude, and we expect it to last around 24 hours. Additionally, we’re making some ranked system changes in the upcoming release that may impact Ranked progression.

When will they clear up?

When you download the full patch from the Google Play Store, the App Store, or Galaxy Store, the display issues should be fixed. We recommend updating as soon as the patch is available to avoid further problems.

Do I have to play my placement games again?

As mentioned in our Ranked Overview, you'll only have to play through your Placement Games once. If you finished them in any previous season, you're good to go!

What if I don’t want to deal with any of this?

If you just wanna play when things have settled down, we recommend waiting to play Ranked until you’ve downloaded Patch 2.4 on July 27 at 17:00 PDT.
