Welcome to Wild Rift News July!

This month we’re gearing up for Patch 4.3, Fighting Spirit and the legendary Tournament of Souls! We hope you’re ready to fight and hit the Rift running when the patch drops in a few days! PATCH 4.3 RUNDOWN

CHAMPIONS

We’re speeding into Patch 4.3 with boundless joy and a little edge. Nilah is ready to join the fight and whip her foes into shape down in the Dragon Lane. But if joy isn’t your cup of tea, no worries! We’ve also got plenty of edge with Hecarim and Vladimir! And while Hecarim and Vladimir can definitely strike fear into their foes, there’s someone coming later this year who will give you even more of a fright…

GAMEPLAY

Reworks to some classic champions, new runes, updates to vision (the poros are coming), and some extra love for the supports who always save our butts! We’re bringing a little bit of everything this patch, and like always we’re going to save the nitty gritty details for the Patch Notes, but we did want to touch on a few of the updates coming!

CHAMPION REWORKS

We know you’re just as excited as we are to see the reworks to Annie and Janna that we mentioned in the Patch Preview, but they won’t be live on day one of Patch 4.3. They’ll each be coming out during separate balance patches. We’ll keep you posted on their release in future articles and Patch Notes!

RUNE UPDATE

One of our bigger gameplay updates this patch is the rework of our current rune system. Our main goal with these changes was to provide you more flexibility for your loadouts game to game. Maybe you’re facing a team full of high-damage burst, or maybe you want to play out the laning phase more aggressively. This revamp of the rune system should offer you more rune combinations game to game and champion to champion!

We don’t want to give everything away before the Patch Notes, but there will be some new additions like Last Stand and Legend: Alacrity, as well as some adjustments to some old favorites like Triumph and Font of Life!

GAME MODES

To celebrate Soul Fighter, we’ll be putting a spin on our classic 1v1 mode! It’ll be called Duel Tag and you’ll get to select three champions you want to play against your opponent. Now's the perfect time to try out that experimental build or flashy new champ, because you can always save your secret pocket pick for last!

Later on in the patch we’ll be bringing back some old favorites like URF and OFA, and then releasing a new mode that mixes Ultimate Spellbook with ARAM!

SOUL FIGHTER

In addition to the new game mode made just for Soul Fighter we’ll also have these new skins:

• Soul Fighter Nilah
• Soul Fighter Xin Zhao
• Soul Fighter Irelia
• Soul Fighter Yasuo
• Soul Fighter Draven
• Soul Fighter Draven (Special Edition)

We will also have a Soul Fighter event with event pass, an in-client narrative experience, and the Soul Fighter Bounty!

SOUL FIGHTER BOUNTY

The Soul Fighter Bounty is a promotion where you’ll have a chance to get Soul Fighter Draven (Special Edition)—even though Draven would probably argue that all of his skins are “special edition.” To participate you’ll need to purchase boxes that will cost 400 Wild Cores a piece. Each box you open you’ll have a chance to receive the following:

RANKED

The launch of Patch 4.3 will also bring in a new ranked season—Ranked S10! We’ll be adding a new rank situated above Challenger called Sovereign, as well as making a slew of updates to ranked and Legendary Queue! You can read more about the changes in our recent update and FAQ blog!

WILD PASS

In the past, our Wild Passes have always lasted about two months, since they start on the first day of a patch and end on the last day. However, during our last update we announced that our patches are going to be a little longer, since we’re going from six to five patches per year.

Because of this, we want to make sure there isn’t a lull period where you’re already done with the Wild Pass, but the next one hasn't started yet. So starting with this patch we’re adding a second Wild Pass! Which means double the skins and goodies!

Our first Wild Pass will be Dream Raider Thresh, and seriously where's our private eye when we need ‘em? With this one on the loose, none of our dreams are safe! And once the Dream Raider Thresh battle pass concludes, Food Spirits Yuumi will arrive! (We still can’t believe we turned her into a Ham and Cheese Sandwich.)
