Wild Rift Patch Notes 4.4a

Raise your hand if you’ve been asking for a certain new item to be looked at! We hear ya. This patch has the champions and items updates you’ve been looking for.

Changes hot off the press! We’re making adjustments to some champions that have been needing some love, or maybe have been getting too much love! We are also looking at some items that have been totally ruling the Rift. And brand new skins for your favorite boy band? Check them out right here!

NEW

GAME MODES

Our new game mode, Arena, will be coming out with this patch. You’ll be able to queue up solo or with your favorite duo in a brand-new mode! Arena is a 2v2v2v2 mode, where each player will be placed in teams of two where they will then duke it out in a series of duels in different arenas on each map. Every round won will decrease the enemies’ total health, and the last team standing will be the winner! There will be different augments that players can select, making each game fun and unique!

Arena will be available on November 10 at 00:01 UTC.

CHAMPION CHANGES

CORKI

Corki has been feeling neglected as almost all of his opponents have gotten some tune-ups. With a slight increase to his base Attack Damage and his ult’s scaling, we hope to see more of him soaring around the Rift!

  • Base Stats

    • Attack Damage: 52 → 54
    • Attack Damage per level: 3.6 → 4
  • MISSILE BARRAGE

    • Damage: 80/115/150 + 25%/45%/65% Attack Damage + 20% Ability Power → 80/115/150 + 25%/50%/75% Attack Damage + 20% Ability Power
    • Big One: 160/230/300 + 50%/90%/130% Attack Damage + 40% Ability Power → 160/230/300 + 50%/100%/150% Attack Damage + 40% Ability Power

FIORA

Fiora’s performance has been subpar, not a good look for a Grand Duelist! With these increases in her base damage, she should have an easier time establishing her dominance in the early game.

  • Base Stats

    • Damage in the direction of a Vital: Maximum Health of target 3% → Maximum Health of target 3.5%
  • Grand Challenge

    • Damage of triggering all 4 Vitals: Maximum Health of target 12% → Maximum Health of target 14%

YASUO

Yasuo has been struggling against mages and assassins. A little boost to his Wind Wall should help with that.

  • Wind Wall

    • Cooldown: 21/20/19/18s → 18/18/18/18s

AATROX

Aatrox hasn’t been as dominant in the Baron Lane as we had hoped. With these slight buffs, he’s sure to scale into a late-game monster!

  • Base Stats

    • Damage: 5% - 12% Maximum Health of target → 5% - 15% Maximum Health of target
  • THE DARKIN BLADE

    • Damage: 15/40/65/90 + 65%/70%/75%/80% Attack Damage → 15/45/75/105 + 70%/75%/80%/85% Attack Damage

WARWICK

Is it just me or is it taking a while for Warwick to finally hunt someone down? These changes should help him with that!

  • JAWS OF THE BEAST

    • Damage based on target’s maximum Health: 6%/7%/8%/9% → 7%/8%/9%/10%
  • INFINITE DURESS

    • Cooldown: 75/65/55s → 70/60/50s

TWITCH

With the items changes that came with patch 4.4, Twitch has been enjoying flexing into multiple roles. We’ve tweaked some numbers to make sure he’s living up to his expectations while still allowing his opponents room for counterplays!

  • Base Stats

    • Damage per stack: 1/2/3/4/5 (1/4/7/10/13 level) + 3.5% Ability Power → 1/2/3/4/5 (1/4/7/10/13 level) + 2.5% Ability Power
  • CONTAMINATE

    • Damage of each Deadly Venom stack: 20/25/30/35 + 37% bonus Attack Damage + 30% Ability Power → 20/25/30/35 + 33% bonus Attack Damage + 20% Ability Power
    • Damage ratio to monsters: 130% → 80%
  • SPRAY AND PRAY

    • Ballistic speed: 4000 → 6000

YUUMI

Yuumi is one of the best friends you can have in the Dragon Lane. She has been overwhelming opponents with her poke so we’ve adjusted some numbers to make her less oppressive to lane against.

  • PROWLING PROJECTILE

    • Base damage: 60/100/140/180/220 + 25% Ability Power → 60/100/140/180/220 + 20% Ability Power
    • Damage while attached: 70/120/170/220/270 + 35% Ability Power → 70/120/170/220/270 + 30% Ability Power
  • FINAL CHAPTER

    • Damage per wave: 80/100/120 + 20% Ability Power → 80/100/120 + 15% Ability Power

SHYVANA

Shyvana has been needing some TLC for a while now. These changes should help with her clearing time, and make her a strong pick for the Jungle!

  • Burnout

    • Damage per second: 30/45/60/75 + 25% bonus Attack Damage → 35/50/65/80 + 30% bonus Attack Damage
    • Total damage: 210/315/420/525 + 175% bonus Attack Damage → 245/350/455/560 + 210% bonus Attack Damage
  • Dragon's Descent

    • Bonus Health: 150/250/350 → 230/315/400

JANNA

After her rework, Janna has been maneuvering her allies across the Rift a little too well. We’ve adjusted her numbers to allow her opponents to catch up.

  • Zephyr

    • Bonus movement speed: 15%/20%/25%/30% → 10%/15%/20%/25%
  • Eye Of The Storm

    • Shield value: 65/90/115/140 + 60% Ability Power → 65/90/115/140 + 45% Ability Power

BRAND

Brand has been underwhelming both during the laning phase and in team fights. These buffs will allow him to scale properly alongside his fellow mages.

  • Base Stats

    • Health: 530 → 570
  • CONFLAGRATION

    • Damage: 60/90/120/150 + 40% Ability Power → 60/90/120/150 + 50% Ability Power
  • PYROCLASM

    • Damage: 100/200/300 + 25% Ability Power → 100/200/300 + 30% Ability Power

VI

After patch 4.4, Vi seems to be getting outscaled by her opponents. We want her to really pack a punch and shut down her opponents more effectively.

  • Base Stats

    • Armor: 30 → 34
  • Assault and Battery

    • Cooldown: 80/65/50s → 70/60/50s

EKKO

Ekko has been lackluster in both the Mid Lane and the jungle. These changes should allow him to play more aggressively and live up to the time-shattering assassin that he’s meant to be.

  • TIMEWINDER

    • Outgoing damage: 60/80/100/120 + 30% Ability Power → 70/90/110/130 + 30% Ability Power
    • Returning damage: 40/75/110/145 + 60% Ability Power → 50/85/120/155 + 60% Ability Power
  • CHRONOBREAK

    • Cooldown:80/60/40s → 70/55/40s

ITEMS

CROWN OF THE SHATTERED QUEEN

We hear you! Crown of the Shattered Queen’s frequent shield has been frustrating to play against. We hope these adjustments will make it easier to counter while it still remains a strong pick-up for mages.

Build path update

  • Lost Chapter (900g) + Hextech Alternator (1400g) + 700g → Lost Chapter (900g) + Fiendish Codex (1000g) + Ring of Revelation (400g) + 700g

Total cost: 3000g (unchanged)

Base Stats

  • Ability Power: 70 → 60
  • Ability Haste: 10 → 20
  • Maximum Health: 150 → 0
  • Safeguard: Duration of reducing incoming damage effect: 1.5s → 1s
  • Poise: Cooldown reduced by each trigger: 5s → 4s

MEJAI’S SOULSTEALER

Mejai’s Soulstealer can allow mages to snowball exponentially so it should come with bigger risks. We’re nerfing its base stats to reflect that.

Basic Stats

  • Total cost: 1500g → 1800g
  • Maximum Health: 100 → 70
  • Ability Power: 30 → 25

RUNAAN'S HURRICANE

Runaan’s Hurricane has been overshadowing other items of the same caliber. On some champions, it’s overpowering. We’ve adjusted its numbers to make it a more reasonable item choice.

Wind’s Favor

  • Attack Damage: 30 → 15
  • Ability Power (Adaptive): 60 → 30
