Can players from the CIS region compete in other VALORANT esports competitions?

Players from the CIS region are free to compete in other VALORANT esports leagues provided they meet the criteria required to participate. All players and teams will need to ensure they abide by the residency rules when making roster decisions.

Will the organizations affected be able to participate in other regional league qualifiers?

Organizations will be free to compete in any regional league qualifiers as long as they adhere to the relevant roster requirements for the competition. This will not affect how other leagues operate across both their qualifying tournaments and the season itself.

We will continue to assess the situation and should an opportunity arise where we may be able to restart competition in the CIS region, we will explore how we can best resume competitive play. This was an incredibly hard decision to make and we thank you for your understanding.

When will the CIS region competitions resume?

At this moment we are unsure when the VRLs will return to the CIS region. We will be regularly evaluating the ongoing situation in Ukraine and Russia to determine when normal tournament operations can resume.
