Week 7 Recap - All of the action from EMEA’s Regional Leagues

Jun 27, 2022

Next week marks the conclusion of Stage 2, with every region’s champion set to be decided in the Regional Finals, which will take place next weekend.

With MENA’s playoffs teams already decided a few weeks ago, here are all of the teams that will be duking it out for their respective crowns, proving that they are the best of the best. In the following standings, playoffs teams are bolded for convenience.

VALORANT Regional League DACH: Evolution

While DSYRE came back with a vengeance in Week 7, easily sweeping aside Ovation Esports in a dominant 2 - 0 (especially on Breeze), MOUZ pipped them to the top spot by taking down third place rivals, Angry Titans. This series looked more competitive from both sides, with Angry Titans almost taking MOUZ to overtime on MOUZ’s map pick of Ascent, with all twenty-four rounds necessary to separate the two.

With these four squads set to battle it out for the DACH: Evolution crown, we can’t wait to see who walks away victorious; after all, it’s been quite the ride already!

The DACH: Evolution playoffs will run from Thursday, June 30 until Sunday, July 3.

VALORANT Regional League East: Surge

From leading the charge to falling at the final hurdle, Zero Tenacity’s East: Surge journey ends before the playoffs begin, with former frontrunners NOM Esports reclaiming their spot at the top end of the table after a dominant win on Breeze.

Anorthosis Famagusta Esports also showed off their prowess this week, taking down Anynomo Mentos and Enterprise to claim joint first alongside TENSTAR, who took down both Entropiq and Diamant.

With a three-way tie for third, it all came down to points, meaning that Diamant and NOM Esports progressed over Zero Tenacity.

The East: Surge playoffs will run from Thursday, June 30 until Saturday, July 2.

VALORANT Regional League France: Revolution

Claiming the top two playoff seeds are MAD Lions and Team Vitality, with MAD continuing their reign of dominance by taking down BeGenius and WYLDE in some competitive matches. Perhaps the most astonishing victory of the week, though, was Vitality’s impressive showing against Karmine Corp, who only managed to take two rounds off of their League of Legends rivals.

This leaves them tied with Mandatory, who didn’t exactly have the greatest week in the world. Beaten by second-last place squad, Valar Morghulis, as well as Vitality, they’ll no doubt be looking to prove themselves in the playoffs; so BDS better be ready to fight.

The France: Revolution playoffs will run from Friday, July 1 until Sunday, July 3.

VALORANT Regional League Northern Europe: Polaris

With the three-way tie at the top finally broken, EXCEL emerged in first place coming into playoffs. Taking down HEET in a convincing 2 - 0, the squad has marked themselves as worthy rivals coming into next week.

Behind them are Finest, who surprisingly dropped a round to H2O, as well as who cars?, who walked away with the victory against Human Tripwires – but they didn’t make it easy. KOVA also join Northern Europe: Polaris’ top teams after beating Alliance 2 - 0, with the latter squad failing to net a victory all season.

The Northern Europe: Polaris playoffs will run from Friday, July 1 until Sunday, July 3.

VALORANT Regional League Spain: Rising

Spain: Rising’s playoffs have already begun, with Rebels Gaming taking down Movistar Riders 2 - 0. Locking in Raze on map one (Icebox), and Chamber on map two (Fracture), João ‘jannyXD’ Costa led his team to a convincing victory, knocking Movistar out of finals contention.

UCAM Tokiers had a more challenging time against Arctic but still emerged triumphant. In a back and forth series that went the full three maps, Manuel ‘Ease’ López’s prowess on the game’s Controller Agents snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, propelling the squad into next week where they’ll face off against Giants for a spot in the final.

The Spain: Rising playoffs will run from Friday, July 1 until Saturday, July 2.

VALORANT Regional League Türkyie: Birlik

Continuing their victory lap in style are SuperMassive Blaze, who still haven’t dropped a single series all season. Easily sweeping aside Team Lixa to earn their spot in the playoffs, they’re flanked by Fire Flux Esports, who reverse swept Thunderbolts Gaming by bringing out the Neon on Haven.

Fenerbahçe Esports also took down rivals FUT Esports in a grueling series that featured two matches that delved well into overtime. Galatasaray Esports also defeated Galakticos 2 - 0, with Sermet ‘Masic’ Demirer Jett easily blowing away the competition. As we reach the pointy end of what has been an amazing Stage 2, we can’t wait to see who finally claims the Türkiye: Birlik crown.

The Türkyie: Birlik playoffs will run from Tuesday, June 28 until Thursday, June 30.
