Today we are excited to share that the first international event of the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour will take place in Reykjavik from April 10-24!
In 2022, seeing VALORANT played in front of a live audience is one of our biggest goals. However, until we are confident in our ability to safely host an event fans can attend, Iceland continues to be an incredibly favorable location to host international LANs.
Our deep relationship and familiarity with the country provides the best possible guarantee that all qualified teams will be able to attend and compete. Additionally, Iceland sits in a timezone where matches can be favorably scheduled for online audiences on multiple continents.
This year we are updating the VCT Points structure to more heavily reward performances at international events. Additionally, the top seeds from North America, EMEA, APAC, and the top seed from the winner of the LATAM and Brazil playoff will get seeded deeper in the bracket, while the remaining teams will need to battle from earlier rounds of competition.
