Verizon VALORANT Game Changers NA Series #1 Main Event: Everything You Need to Know

As the reigning World Champion region, North America’s VALORANT Game Changers returns this with Series #1 as the road to another Game Changers Championship begins.

The Verizon VALORANT Game Changers Series #1 Main Event takes place March 5-10 , as eight teams will battle it out for a share of $50,000 and coveted circuit points that grant a Championship berth.

This year’s journey to the Main Event introduced a new format that offered multiple opportunities for teams to qualify. The first Open Qualifier, held in late January, resulted in the reigning Champions, Shopify Rebellion, securing their spot in the Main Event. It wasn’t without some challenges along the way, as both FlyQuest RED and Passion Project pushed the decorated roster to the limits.

In the second Open Qualifier, held mid February, FlyQuest RED and Passion Project both advanced the Grand Finals, with the newly formed Passion Project roster securing the second guaranteed slot in the Series #1 Main Event.

The remaining six teams secured their spot through Open Qualifier circuit points.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE & BRACKET

The Main Event will feature a Double Elimination bracket that kicks off on March 5. In an exciting change to broadcast more matches and offer teams facing elimination more time to prep for their upcoming matches, the previously five-day event has expanded to six days, running until March 10. All matches are best-of-three (Bo3) until the Lower Bracket Finals and Grand Finals, played as best-of-fives (Bo5).
