VCT AMERICAS KICKOFF: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

For those keeping track at home, Americas teams have taken home the last two VALORANT World Championships. The league is looking to make room in the trophy case for a third.

This year’s journey will begin on February 16 with the inaugural VCT Americas Kickoff! As the season unfolds, teams will progress through a grueling gauntlet featuring an expanded two-stage International League season, two international Masters events, and finally, Champions.

At Kickoff, every team has to be at their best. Two spots at VALORANT Masters Madrid and Championship Points are on the line. Do well here and you’ll be that much closer to qualifying for Champions 2024.

Oh, and welcome to the big leagues, G2. Happy to have you. It all starts now.

GROUP DRAW

Let’s get to the good stuff - the group draw. Eleven teams were split into pools and drawn into 3 groups. As a result of winning Champions 2023, Evil Geniuses was automatically placed as the top seed within Group C, the smallest group consisting of 3 teams.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE & FORMAT

Kickoff Format:

Group Stage:

• Each group will feature a double elimination bracket with Best-of-3 matches
• The winning team of each group will move on to the Playoff Stage
• The second-place team of each group will head to the Play-In Stage

Play-In Stage:

• The three second-place teams must face off in a round-robin format, with one team earning a spot in the Playoff Stage

Playoff Stage:

• All four teams will compete through a single elimination bracket, with the two finalist teams securing their place for Masters Madrid
• The team coming from the Play-In Stage will be placed on the opposite side of the bracket from the team of their original Group
• Finally, the Kickoff winner will receive preferential seeding at Masters Madrid and three Championship Points towards their qualification to Champions

• If you’re in North America: sign up to host a Watch Party here. All NA Watch Parties must comply with the Watch Party Guidelines. If you can do both, you’re clear to kick off your Watch Party on game day.
• If you’re in Latin America or Spain and want to costream VCT Americas in Spanish, apply to host a Watch Party here. Then, keep an eye on your email. Please allow a few days for review. If your application is approved, you’ll receive a message from us giving you permission.
• If you’re in Brazil and want to costream VCT Americas in Portuguese, apply to host a Watch Party here. Then, keep an eye on your email. Please allow a few days for review. If your application is approved, you’ll receive a message from us giving you permission.
