CHAMPIONS

AHRI

We’re changing Ahri’s passive, (1) Orb of Deception and (2) Fox-Fire to be more similar with their League PC versions. The green healing ball returns! We expect these changes to be mostly power neutral but will keep an eye on her performance over the next month.

(P) Essence Theft

  • (Old) Ahri’s gains Magic Vamp against enemies that have been struck by immobilizing effects.
  • (New) After Ahri casts 3 abilities that hit an enemy, her next spell that hits an enemy heals her.

(1) Orb of Deception

  • (Removed) Grants a burst of movement speed while the orb is out

(2) Fox-Fire

  • (New) Grants a burst of movement speed when cast

AURELION SOL

Aurelion Sol has the highest winrate amongst our top ranked players. He has too much mobility and crowd control right now, so we’re nerfing his cooldowns and stun duration. We know he’s an all-powerful celestial being, but… c’mon.

(1) Starsurge

  • Stun duration: Min 0.55/0.6/0.65/0.7s // Max 2.2/2.4/2.6/2.8s → Min 0.4/0.45/0.5/0.55s // Max 1.6/1.8/2/2.2s

(2) Celestial Expansion

  • Cooldown: 5/4/3/2s → 8/6/4/2s

(3) Comet of Legend

  • Cooldown: 55/50/45/40s → 70/60/50/40s

GRAGAS

We gave Gragas pretty hefty buffs in the Regional Alpha, but he’s still underperforming. We’re going to give him another slight boost so he can start bodying people.

Base Stats

  • Health: 650 → 690
  • Health per level: 115 → 125

(Ult) Explosive Cask

  • AP Ratio: 70% → 80%

SINGED

Singed can basically spread poison endlessly without having to worry about mana, and it does a lot of damage. We’re nerfing his mana so players actually have to toggle off his poison when not in combat. His (1) Poison Trail damage is getting a significant nerf so he does not always top the damage charts while also being super tanky.

Base Stats

  • Mana: 390 → 345

(1) Poison Trail

  • Damage: 30/40/50/60 → 20/30/40/50
  • AP Ratio: 0.4 → 0.3
  • Mana: 13 → 15
  • Damage-over-time Duration: 2s → 1.8s

SONA

Sona barely had any mana issues, even at lower levels. We want her to be somewhat mana-gated so players have to weigh what spells to use instead of facerolling.

Base Stats

  • Mana: 435 → 345
  • Mana regen per level: 24 → 15

ITEMS

CRITICAL STRIKE ITEMS

Marksmen are very strong, and we recognize that players are frustrated with them being OP. We think it’s partly because crit items are relatively cheap to buy, so ADCs are actually hitting full build faster than some other roles. Nerfing crit items is the first step as we continue to observe and find ways to better balance the marksman class in the future.

CLOAK OF AGILITY

  • Upgrade Cost: Increased from 300 → 500
  • Total Cost: Increased from 800 → 1000
  • Critical Strike Chance: 15% → 20%

PHANTOM DANCER

  • Total Cost: 2600G → 2800G

RUNAAN’S HURRICANE

  • Total Cost: 2600G → 2800G

RAPID FIRECANNON

  • Combine Cost: 400G → 600G
  • Total Cost: 2600G → 2800G

STATIKK SHIV

  • Combine Cost: 400G → 600G
  • Total Cost: 2600G → 2800G

INFINITY EDGE

  • Combine Cost: 1000G → 900G
  • Total Cost: 3300G → 3400G

GAME SYSTEMS

ATTACK SPEED

Attack speed slows pale in comparison to attack speed increases. We’re changing the attack speed reduction formula so that champions like Malphite, and items like Randuin’s Omen, have a more significant impact.

  • Old formula: Base Attack Speed × (1 + (Bonus Attack Speed - Attack Speed Slows))
  • New formula: Base Attack Speed × (1 + Bonus Attack Speed) * (1 - Attack Speed Slows)

MINIONS

You can now see super minions through Fog of War, so you can better plan for late-game sieges.

    PINGS

We heard feedback that pings were a little hard to see, so we improved in-game ping visuals to make them more noticeable. You can now also drag “on my way” pings to specific targets.

      TURRETS

One feature that isn’t super visible in Wild Rift is the “Domino” effect, which is a structure defensive bonus that kicks in when two turrets in the same lane fall within 45 seconds of each other. The next structure in the same lane takes 66% reduced damage for 30 seconds, indicated by a golden glow. This effect is why the Nexus sometimes feels very tanky. As we’re still in beta, we’re still tuning our game pacing, and in this phase of Closed Beta, we’ll be reducing the effectiveness of the domino bonus.

      • “Domino Bonus” damage reduction: 66% → 30%

      UI

We added some polish to the in-game UI.

      SEP 25 HOTFIX

      CAMILLE

In the previous patch, we issued a hotfix to cut down Camille’s high win rate at multiple levels of play. For reference, it lives here now.

      Base Stats

      • AD: 70 → 58
      • AD per level: 5.5 → 4.55

      (3) Hookshot

      • Cooldown: 14.5 / 13 / 11.5 / 10s → 16 / 14 / 12 / 10s
      • (Removed) 50% CD refund when hitting enemy champ
