This month we’re sharing updates about the Arcade promotion, Ultimate Spellbook, and the High Frame Rate Mode!
Welcome to Wild Rift News for April! This month we’re still in the midst of our High Five update, but wanted to check in and talk about some of the content that’s coming in our future balance patches! How are you enjoying this update? Have you found a new tank build? Or are you crushing your opponents with Urgot? Let us know! But for now, let's jump into the updates!
DEV UPDATE: PATCH SCHEDULE, CHAMPIONS, AND GAMEPLAY CHANGES
Recently, David gave an update on Wild Rift’s patch schedule, as well as some of the plans from the dev team for 2023 as a whole. He also teased an upcoming skin, who do you think it is? While David’s money is on Caitlyn, ours is on… hmm… Gwen! Who did you think the new skin is for? And are you ready for the cold front? It’s coming sooner than you think!
ARCADE PROMOTION
Next month during Patch 4.1c we’ll be launching a new promotion along with the release of the Arcade skins! For 400 Wild Cores, you’ll be able to purchase a chest where you’ll be able to obtain the following:

ULTIMATE SPELLBOOK
Pick a champ and choose between three different ultimates. Whichever one you choose will replace one of your Spells like Ignite or Heal! In addition to that with every kill and assist you get, the larger you’ll grow, and you’ll even gain a little tenacity. But don’t worry, if you’re like us and tend to die more than you rack up kills, you’ll grow smaller and smaller on every death and gain move speed, weee.
Have you picked up your extra ultimate and seen your character grow in size? If not, make sure you hop into this new chaotic game mode before it leaves on April 24 at 00:01 UTC!
HIGH FRAME RATE MODE
Coming in Patch 4.2, High Frame Rate Mode will be an available option for you to choose. This will allow you to play Wild Rift in 90hrz/120hrz, depending on which refresh rate your device allows. This will not be the default setting so if you’d like to use it, you’ll need to make sure to enable it when it goes live! But don’t worry, we’ll include this in Wild Rift News May and the Patch Notes for 4.2, so you’ll have plenty of reminders!
