VCT Game Changers 2023: How to Sign-Up

VCT Game Changers 2023: Dates & Format

The Open Qualifier will take place from April 5-9th, and will see a maximum of 128 teams clash for a chance to play in Game Changers EMEA this year. The teams will compete in a single elimination bracket for four rounds, with all of these utilizing a best-of-three (Bo3) format. The losing teams in the first three rounds are directly eliminated, whilst the eight winners of the fourth round qualify directly to VCT Game Changers EMEA: Stage 1. Between April 5-8th each round will start at 6 PM CEST.

The eight losing teams of the fourth round will then clash in the Last Chance Bracket for three remaining spots. This portion of the Open Qualifier will take place on Saturday April 8th & Sunday April 9th with the round timings as follows:

• Last Chance Bracket Round 1: Saturday April 8th, starting at 9p.m. CEST
• Last Chance Bracket Round 2: Sunday April 9th, starting at 6p.m. CEST
• Last Chance Bracket Round 3: Sunday April 9th, starting at 9p.m. CEST

The Last Chance Bracket will see three rounds of play. Round 1 will be single elimination, with the losing team eliminated. The two winners of round 2 will secure their qualification but defeat here will give the two remaining teams one final chance in round 3 to secure the third and final spot.

VCT Game Changers 2023: Rules and Requirements

All players participating in the Open Qualifier must have held a ranking of Platinum 1 or above at the time of registration, or during the preceding Act. All teams participating in the Open Qualifier may not add or drop players from their roster at any point between April 2nd and April 9th, any changes to the starting roster while the roster lock is active will not be accepted. 

Teams have to check-in on the first day (Wednesday April 5th) of the Open Qualifier. This must be done through the official website (vctgcemea.valorantesports.com). Teams are able to check-in thirty minutes before the start of their first match, and must check-in until fifteen minutes after the start time of their first match at the very latest. Teams that do not check-in within this time window will be disqualified.

VCT Game Changers 2023: Streaming

Competing players are permitted to publicly stream their own matches during the Game Changers Qualifier. These streams must be player point of view only and exclude team communications. A 3-minute delay is also required in order to maintain tournament integrity. Finally, sponsor integration is not permitted.

Based on their performance last year, 5 teams have been directly invited to VCT Game Changers EMEA: Stage 1, bypassing the Open Qualifier. These are as follows:
